Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

Melting Supervisor

to oversee the melting operations in our foundry. The candidate should have hands-on experience in melting ferrous or non-ferrous metals, managing furnace operations, and ensuring metallurgical standards are met. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

:

Supervise and coordinate all melting activities including furnace charging, melting, and pouring. Ensure proper operation of

induction/furnace

systems as per process parameters. Monitor

metal composition

and

temperature control

to meet quality standards. Coordinate with the quality team for

spectrometer testing

and achieve target chemical composition. Manage melting schedules to meet production timelines and minimize downtime. Supervise and guide furnace operators, helpers, and support staff. Maintain strict adherence to

safety protocols

and environmental guidelines. Ensure proper use and maintenance of crucibles, refractories, and melting equipment. Maintain accurate production records, consumption logs, and furnace performance data. Control raw material usage and ensure minimal metal loss or wastage. Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Train and mentor the melting team on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

:

Diploma / B.E. in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

5+ years

of experience in melting operations in a foundry or metallurgical plant. Thorough knowledge of melting ferrous/non-ferrous metals (steel, iron, aluminum, etc.). Experience with

induction, arc, or cupola furnaces

. Understanding of

alloy composition

, metallurgy, and chemical analysis. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment. Good understanding of

foundry safety standards

emergency procedures

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹34,000.00 per month
