Job Summary:

The Annealing/Melting Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the annealing and melting processes in a manufacturing environment. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and safety in the production of metal or glass components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science or engineering and experience with high-temperature processing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Design and Optimization:

Develop and refine annealing and melting processes to meet production and quality standards. Analyze and optimize furnace and melting equipment performance. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product consistency.

Technical Oversight:

Oversee the operation of annealing and melting furnaces, including temperature control, atmosphere management, and cycle times. Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate new materials, processes, or technologies.

Quality Control:

Monitor product quality throughout the annealing and melting processes. Develop and enforce quality control procedures and standards. Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any defects or deviations from specifications.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all processes adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate records of process parameters, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Provide training and support to team members on annealing and melting processes and equipment.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare detailed reports on process performance, improvements, and incidents. Maintain comprehensive documentation for process changes, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of [X] years of experience in annealing, melting, or a related field within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with high-temperature processing equipment and techniques.

Skills:
