Responsible for preparing authentic Mediterranean dishes using fresh ingredients, ensuring high-quality taste, presentation, and consistent kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Mediterranean cuisine (Greek, Turkish, Lebanese, Italian, etc.).
Develop and standardize recipes and menu items.
Ensure freshness and proper handling of ingredients like seafood, olives, herbs, spices, grains, etc.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Monitor kitchen inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
Train junior kitchen staff in Mediterranean techniques.
Maintain portion control and minimize food wastage.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mediterranean Chef or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
Culinary degree or certification preferred.
Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
