POSITION SUMMARY
The
Senior Quality Assurance Specialist
is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of medical and medico-legal reports with
Australian Medico-Legal Standards (AMS 4 & 5)
, client-specific guidelines, and turnaround time requirements.
This role focuses on
quality auditing, compliance validation, feedback, and continuous improvement
, not document creation.
SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform comprehensive
quality assurance audits
on medical and medico-legal reports in accordance with
AMS 4 and AMS 5 standards
Identify and document inconsistencies, inaccuracies, formatting issues, and guideline deviations
Ensure reports meet
Australian medico-legal, clinical, and client-specific standards
Provide
clear, constructive, and actionable feedback
to transcription and editing teams
Monitor and report on QA scores, trends, and quality metrics
Ensure compliance with
turnaround time (TAT)
and quality benchmarks
Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards
Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous quality improvement
Use multiple systems and QA tools efficiently and accurately
REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
Strong, hands-on experience with
Australian Medico-Legal QA
Expert-level knowledge of AMS 4 and AMS 5
is essential
Prior experience in
medical or medico-legal quality assurance
(not transcription-only)
Excellent understanding of advanced medical terminology
Proven ability to identify complex medico-legal errors and inconsistencies
High attention to detail with strong analytical and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
Highly competent in research using reference materials and prior reports
Strong written communication skills for delivering QA feedback
Ability to work independently and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Technically proficient and comfortable working across multiple platforms and systems
