is seeking a

skilled and detail-oriented Medical Writer/Scientific Writer

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality scientific content and managing end-to-end publication processes. You will collaborate with researchers to produce manuscripts, white papers, technical reports, and more, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with journal and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Research and write scientific manuscripts, reports, and white papers. Translate complex data into clear, engaging, and accurate content. Edit and proofread content for scientific accuracy, grammar, and style. Prepare materials such as abstracts, posters, and conference content. Oversee the entire publication process, including formatting and journal submission. Obtain DOIs from journals and ensure proper metadata submission and indexing. Liaise with editors, researchers, and co-authors to manage revisions and communications. Maintain detailed records of submissions, reviewer feedback, and publication milestones. Ensure compliance with journal guidelines, open-access policies, and publication ethics. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint for scientific presentations.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology, or related fields. Proven experience in medical writing/scientific/technical publication support (please include writing samples). Excellent command of written English with strong writing and editing skills. Ability to interpret and summarize scientific data effectively. Familiarity with citation/reference tools like EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero. Experience with journal submission platforms (e.g.,ScholarOne, Editorial Manager). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with journal submissions or coordinating scientific publications. Knowledge of publication ethics, open-access requirements, and indexing systems (PubMed, Scopus, CrossRef).
