Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive and ongoing nursing assessments of patient health status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in patient records. Assist with diagnostic procedures, including blood draws, ECGs, and imaging preparation. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care plans. Ensure infection control protocols and hygiene standards are strictly followed. Respond effectively to emergencies, including CPR and rapid response protocols. Prepare patients for discharge and provide post-discharge care instructions.

Safety & Infection Control:

Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols. Monitor patients for adverse reactions or deterioration and escalate appropriately. Participate in safety audits and incident reporting.

Teamwork & Supervision:

Collaborate effectively with nursing colleagues and multidisciplinary staff. Support junior nurses, student nurses, and healthcare assistants. Attend handovers, contribute to ward rounds, and support efficient shift transitions.
