Listen to voice recordings from physicians and other healthcare professionals and convert them into written reports.
Editing and Proofreading:
Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and correct medical terminology, making sure all reports are error-free.
Data entry:
Enter completed and approved reports into the hospital's electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Clarification and communication:
Interact with healthcare providers to clarify confusing medical terms, instructions, or missing information in the dictations.
Confidentiality and compliance:
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant legal guidelines.
Key tasks
Transcribing various medical documents, including patient histories, discharge summaries, test results, and surgical reports.
Researching and verifying medical terms and procedures as needed to ensure accuracy.
Editing documents created by speech recognition software for accuracy.
Submitting completed documents for provider review and approval in a timely manner.
Managing and organizing medical transcription files to ensure high-quality patient care.
