Transcribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes and other medical documents from recorded messages from health care providers
Familiarity with proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure as well as medical jargon and abbreviations for accuracy
Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulations
Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liability
Create templates and enter data into HMS Software for updated record keeping and archives
Converting transcribed diagnostic test results, procedures, and consultation notes into applicable report formats.
Typing Discharge Summaries on time with 100% accuracy.
Ability to transcribe accurately and maintain a minimum typing speed of 80-90wpm.
In-depth knowledge of medical terminology
Keen attention to detail in order not to compromise patient care.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and meet legal requirements.
Exceptional written communication skills and knowledge of medical record formats.
Ability to work under pressure situations
Punctual and reliable disposition
Previous experience in hospital or other health care setting.
