The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for transcribing audio recordings from physicians and healthcare professionals into accurate written medical documents, ensuring quality, clarity, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Transcribe medical dictations into reports such as discharge summaries, operative notes, and patient histories
Edit and proofread documents for accuracy and completeness
Ensure correct medical terminology, grammar, and formatting
Review and correct reports generated by speech-recognition software
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow healthcare privacy guidelines
Meet turnaround time and quality standards
Education & Qualification
Certificate or diploma in Medical Transcription or Healthcare Documentation
Prior experience preferred but not mandatory
