The Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) including doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, increasing product awareness, and building strong customer relationships within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Promotion
Promote assigned products to doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare providers.
Conduct product detailing sessions and deliver effective sales presentations.
Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
2. Territory Management
Create and execute a territory-wise call plan.
Visit doctors, clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals as per schedule.
Maintain visibility of product range in the assigned territory.
3. Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
Address queries and provide accurate information about products.
Represent the company at medical conferences, CME programs, and promotional events.
4. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Provide feedback regarding new opportunities or customer needs.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily call reports, activity logs, and sales data.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or any related field.
2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales (freshers may apply depending on company).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet sales targets and work in a field-based environment.
Self-motivated, persuasive, and goal-oriented.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
