The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals. The role focuses on building strong relationships, increasing product awareness, and achieving assigned sales targets while adhering to ethical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Promotion
Promote company products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the designated territory.
Conduct regular field visits and product presentations.
Organize and participate in medical camps, CMEs, and promotional events.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with doctors and healthcare staff.
Address customer queries and provide accurate product information.
Collect feedback on product performance and market needs.
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Provide regular market feedback and reports to management.
Identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain daily call reports, expense reports, and sales documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Follow all legal and safety guidelines during field activities.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, or any related field.
Diploma in Medical Representative / Pharmaceutical Sales is an added advantage.
Experience
1-5 years of experience as a Medical Representative or in pharma sales.
Freshers with good communication skills may be considered.
Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and medical terminology.
Ability to work independently and meet targets.
Willingness to travel extensively.
