Job Description


Accountable to meet or exceed sales and tactical business objectives. Maintains an in-depth and sophisticated knowledge of disease state and product, which help the organization to engage in meaningful dialog, build credibility and add value when calling on the medical fraternity as well as manufacturers. Responsible for understanding the health care market dynamics and medical coverage and communicating this information to concerned key opinion leaders. Responsible for providing healthcare providers with all relevant information that promotes quality healthcare decisions. Sells appropriately using only approved selling materials and resources; utilizes appropriate body language when addressing customers; focuses discussion on medical needs and engaging in thoughtful discussion with Health care professional and collecting insights. Establishes robust, long-term peer relationships with thought leaders and other stakeholders. Engage customers in a way that is meaningful to them so that they find value in the interactions and welcome future engagements. Establishes and maintains objectives for geography in consultation with Area manager to assure execution of territory business plan. Creates effective call plans that efficiently maximize call reach and frequency. Employs effective selling techniques, including pre-call planning, effective opening, presentation focus, productive questions, issues identification and effective close. Completes all call reporting and inventory responsibilities in accordance with current procedures and policies. Set aside needed study and certification time, during off-territory hours to, required to learn medical, product, and policy information, as well as to maintain company supplies equipment and records. Ensure proper service to customers by understanding their wants, needs and problems by understanding the same during the interaction. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: B. Pharm/M. Pharm Graduate A minimum of 1-2 years pharmaceutical sales experience, either in Core Pharmaceutical company or a Medical Device company and a person will be preferred with Medical Device sales experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry as well as manufacturing industry with selling experience as a key distribution channel. Able to provide documented sales success Ability to adapt and to provide customer-oriented solutions Ensure company s medical compliance - Be ultimately accountable for complying to all local policies, procedures and regulations for self. Demonstrated excellent teamwork/collaboration Good organizational and planning skills Self-motivated/performance accountability Excellent communication skills
