Job Summary:



We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Oncologist (DM / DrNB) to join our oncology department in Mangaluru, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive care of cancer patients, including diagnosis, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and follow-up care. You will work closely with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other specialists to ensure multidisciplinary cancer care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



Diagnose and treat a wide range of cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy.



Develop personalized cancer treatment plans in coordination with the tumor board.



Monitor and manage side effects of cancer treatment in both outpatient and inpatient settings.



Supervise and administer chemotherapy and day-care procedures.



Guide and counsel patients and their families about disease, treatment plans, prognosis, and lifestyle changes.



Collaborate with other departments (surgery, radiation, palliative care, pathology) for holistic care.



Participate in academic activities, case presentations, and hospital CMEs.



Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

Eligibility Criteria:



DM / DrNB in Medical Oncology from a recognized institution.



Valid registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or Karnataka Medical Council (KMC).



Strong clinical acumen in solid and hematologic malignancies.



Skilled in managing chemotherapy protocols and adverse events.



Willingness to take part in emergency and rotational duties when needed.

Preferred Skills:



Experience in handling advanced immunotherapy and targeted therapies.



Familiarity with clinical protocols, tumor boards, and multi-disciplinary team meetings.



Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.



Fluency in English; knowledge of Kannada or Tulu is a plus.



Teaching or research experience is an added advantage.
