MBBS or equivalent medical degree.

Experience:

Experience in paediatrics, community medicine and/or palliative care is highly desirable.

Language:

English and Hindi is essential. Marathi, Konkani, Kannada desirable.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Officer to join our Home-Based Paediatric Palliative Care Team. This role involves providing medical care and symptom management to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in their homes. The position requires clinical expertise, emotional sensitivity, and a commitment to holistic, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide medical assessment, diagnosis, and symptom management for paediatric palliative care patients in home settings. Develop and regularly review individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Offer emotional support and clear communication to families during complex and sensitive situations, including end-of-life care. Participate in home visits, OPD at South Goa district hospital with the care team, ensuring continuity of care and crisis management when needed. Collaborate with community providers, hospitals, and specialists to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate and timely medical records, reports, and documentation. Attend weekly meetings, training programs and activities planned for children and their families.

Strong clinical decision-making, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, empathetic, and able to work effectively in emotionally charged environments.
Willingness to engage in community work.
