Key Responsibilities


Occupational Health Centre (OHC) Operations


Manage day-to-day OHC operations and OPD services Handle medical emergencies, injuries & first-aid support Maintain employee medical records and statutory documentation

Medical Care & Compliance


Conduct pre-employment medical examinations and issue fitness certificates Conduct periodic / annual employee health check-ups Execute statutory medical checks for employees working in hazardous areas (noise, heat, foundry, chemicals) Ensure compliance with Factories Act and industrial health standards

Hospital & Insurance Coordination


Liaise with hospitals for referrals and treatment Visit employees admitted in hospitals; verify hospitalization and insurance claims

Awareness & Training


Conduct health / hygiene awareness programs and first-aid training Organize special health drives (No Tobacco Day, Diabetes Day, AIDS Awareness etc.) Counsel employees on health, lifestyle & stress management

Health Risk Management


Monitor lifestyle diseases -- diabetes, hypertension, cardiac risks Conduct monthly lifestyle / chronic disease clinics Perform workplace/ shop-floor hygiene audits and drive improvements

Community & Multi-Site Support


Manage Primary Health Centres under SST (when assigned) Support OHC operations at multiple plant locations if required

Must-Have Qualifications


MBBS

AFIH certification (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health)

-- mandatory

3-5 years industrial / occupational health experience

Technical / Functional


Industrial medical care & emergency treatment Occupational health compliance under Factories Act Medical record management & statutory documentation Ability to identify lifestyle diseases & conduct health programs

Leadership / Soft Skills


Empathy & patient-centered approach Strong communication & counselling ability Decision-making during medical emergencies Stakeholder coordination -- employees, HR, hospitals, insurers
