Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate and comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients in emergency and critical care settings.
  • Manage life-threatening conditions including cardiac arrest, trauma, sepsis, and respiratory failure in the ICU and emergency department.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and invasive monitoring under high-pressure conditions.
  • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure timely and coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response drills to ensure readiness for critical incidents.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in consultation with senior physicians.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits related to emergency and ICU care.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff and interns during clinical shifts.
Requirements:
  • MBBS degree with valid registration from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in emergency medicine and intensive care.
  • Proven expertise in managing critical care patients, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and resuscitation protocols.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills with the ability to perform under stress and in time-sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in using ICU equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) platforms.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
