The position

As a Medical Manager, you will contribute actively to the implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy in the country. Be a specialist in the therapy area and allotted product/portfolio and other relevant products. You will work in collaboration with commercial teams to drive medical education and scientific dialogue for products and therapy area. You will also facilitate organisational readiness and external scientific advocacy for new product launches in close collaboration with commercial teams. The role will be reporting to the Senior Medical Manager. You will also be responsible to -

  • Develop and manage a high-performing team of regional medical advisors. Implement effective performance management strategies, including goal setting, performance dialogues, and timely feedback.
  • Facilitate and drive a learning culture with a high focus on professional/personal development of all direct reportees. Identify and develop high-potential medical affairs professionals and provide platforms for learning and development.
  • Responsible for initiating hiring, transfer, promotion and exit actions in AskHr system and driving evolve results discussion and action planning and completion in the system.
  • Coordinate with regional sales, marketing, and compliance to align national medical strategies with local strategies. This will ensure that the RMA team supports business requirements and conveys a credible and compliant scientific message to the medical community, supporting the Sales organization and Novo Nordisk\'s products.
  • Suggest ideas and implement projects at a regional level in line with HO medical ambitions. Maintain strong product & therapy area knowledge for self and RMA team through journal clubs and others.
Moreover, Generate insights for new launches and existing molecules. Allocate RMA resources for medical education and guidance. Guide field interactions to add scientific value to RMA visits. Map national and regional KOLs for each RMA and engage with them regularly. Maintain trackers for continuous development. Update scientific content with the training team. Identify opportunities to increase professional relationships and collaboration with regional associations and KOLs.
  • Review regional and local KOL proposals for CMR director\'s approval.
  • Plan & guide KOL engagement and development for the region.
  • ISS support and guidance, ensure timely conduct of titration visits, resource allocation for trial related visits.
  • Review independent publication support for CMR director\'s approval.
  • Developing and delivering presentations at local meetings, advisory boards, symposia, and external conferences.
Qualifications
  • MD/MS in pharmacology or equivalent (desired) from a reputed institution with minimum 5 years of industry medical affairs experience in diabetes management with or without team management experience.
  • Strong scientific knowledge and interest in diabetes diseases and products, good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as well as good in communication.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations.
  • Skills for planning, execution and follow-up is required, with a creative and innovative attitude that will enable you to drive initiatives with operational excellence in mind.
