We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and skilled

Laboratory Technician

to support the diagnostic and research functions of our medical laboratory. The Lab Technician will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and recording data and specimens in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, integrity, and strong technical knowledge in laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and prepare blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens for analysis. Perform laboratory tests in biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and other departments as required. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, and analyzers. Accurately document and report test results to physicians and medical staff. Ensure all specimens are properly labeled and stored to prevent contamination or misidentification. Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, sterile work environment. Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies when necessary. Calibrate instruments and ensure the validity of test results through quality control procedures. Dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. Assist with research and development of new testing protocols when applicable.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field. Certification from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technician board is preferred. 1-5 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting. Proficiency with laboratory instruments and software systems. Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control practices. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:
