Job Description

An Equine Equipment Sales & Service role involves selling horse-related gear (tack, feed, barn supplies) and potentially offering maintenance, requiring strong sales skills, deep product/horse knowledge, customer relationship building, and marketing, serving owners, trainers, and facilities by matching needs with solutions, often involving field visits, demonstrations, and achieving sales targets for revenue growth. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation:

Drive sales of saddles, supplements, barn equipment, etc., through prospecting, cold calling, presentations, and closing deals.

Customer Relationship Management:

Build, maintain, and grow a loyal customer base of horse owners, trainers, and facilities.

Product Expertise:

Develop in-depth knowledge of all products (features, benefits) and industry trends to provide expert advice.

Marketing Support:

Assist with marketing efforts, including product awareness and promoting special offers.

Service & Support:

Perform routine checks, organize equipment, and report/handle minor repairs or replacements for sold items.

Market Awareness:

Stay informed on competitor offerings and industry changes.

Collaboration:

Work with marketing and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

Sales Acumen:

Negotiation, lead generation, closing techniques, and territory management.

Equine Industry Knowledge:

Understanding horse breeds, care, tack, and common owner needs is crucial.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Effectively communicate product value and build strong rapport.

Problem-Solving:

Address customer challenges and find suitable equipment solutions.

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and functionality.

Education (Beneficial):

A business degree or equine studies background helps.
Typical Work Environment

Field-based (visiting farms, barns, events) and office/retail settings. Requires travel within a defined sales territory. Can involve working outdoors and in various weather conditions.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
