Job Description

We're looking for an experienced medical coder to train new and existing staff on medical coding procedures and guidelines.

What you'll do:

You'll teach employees how to accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. You'll develop training materials, conduct classroom and one-on-one sessions, evaluate trainee performance, and keep everyone updated on coding changes and compliance requirements. You'll also answer coding questions and provide ongoing support to ensure accuracy and productivity.

What we need:

You should have several years of medical coding experience and a strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and insurance guidelines. A coding certification like CPC, CCS, or RHIT is preferred. You'll need good communication skills to explain complex information clearly, patience to work with learners at different levels, and the ability to stay current with coding updates.
