Job Description

We're seeking a certified Medical Coder with specialized experience in personal injury cases, functional neurology, autoimmune disorders, and VOMS testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical auditing for private practices, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and revenue optimization. You'll work with complex EHR systems (including Jane EHR), collaborate with healthcare providers, and resolve insurance disputes. Work-from-home or office flexibility available; relocation to Chennai considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Coding Expertise:

Assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and E/M services. Specialize in functional neurology, autoimmune disorders (e.g., Lyme disease, Hashimoto's), and VOMS testing. Handle personal injury claims (e.g., trauma, whiplash, concussions).
Auditing & Compliance:

Conduct internal audits to ensure coding accuracy and adherence to regulations (CMS, HIPAA). Identify documentation gaps and train providers on coding best practices.
Collaboration:

Work with billing teams to resolve denials, appeals, and reimbursement issues. Clarify medical records with physicians.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Jane EHR, eCW, Experity, MS Office, and coding software. Fast, accurate typing (10-key).
Reporting:

Generate statistical data for research and revenue analysis.
Requirements:

Certification: CPC, CCS, or CCS-P from AAPC/AHIMA.
Experience:

3+ years in medical coding, with 2+ years in personal injury/functional neurology. Outpatient/urgent care coding experience.
Knowledge:

Medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines. VOMS testing protocols.
Autoimmune disorder coding (rheumatology, neurology).

Skills:

Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication. Ability to work night shifts independently.
Location Flexibility:

Open to work-from-home or office (Pan India). Willingness to relocate to Chennai if needed.
Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with Risk Adjustment (HCC) or Medicare/Medicaid.

- Radiology, lab, or ancillary services coding.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
