Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with a passion for healthcare and coding. The Medical Coding Specialist will be responsible for accurately coding medical diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review patient medical records and documentation to extract relevant information. Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) for diagnoses, procedures, and services. Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding queries. Assist in maintaining coding accuracy and minimizing claim denials. Participate in training sessions and continuing education to stay updated on coding practices. Support the billing department by providing necessary coding information and resolving discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field preferred. Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is a plus but not required for freshers. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of medical terminology and anatomy. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
