Job Summary

We are looking for a

detail-oriented Medical Coder

to accurately assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and healthcare compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assign accurate

ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS

codes for diagnoses and procedures. Review medical records, physician notes, and clinical documentation for completeness. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with

AAPC/AHIMA

guidelines. Identify documentation gaps and coordinate with providers for clarification. Maintain coding quality and meet productivity benchmarks. Stay updated with coding changes, payer rules, and healthcare regulations. Support audits and resolve coding-related queries or denials. Maintain confidentiality and comply with

HIPAA

standards.

Required Qualifications

Graduate or diploma in

Medical Coding / Life Sciences / Healthcare

. Certification (mandatory or preferred):

CPC / COC / CCS / CCS-P

Strong knowledge of: Medical terminology Anatomy & physiology Coding guidelines and compliance Basic understanding of revenue cycle management (RCM). Good analytical and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience with EHR/EMR systems. Exposure to US healthcare processes. Knowledge of audits, denials, and reimbursement workflows. Good communication skills (written & verbal).
