Key Responsibilities:
Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines and payer requirements.
Verify completeness of medical documentation to support assigned codes.
Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to clarify diagnoses and procedures when needed.
Maintain high productivity and quality standards in coding tasks.
Identify coding errors and provide suggestions for documentation improvement.
Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, payer policies, and medical regulations.
Assist in audits, quality checks, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field (preferred).
Certification in CPC, CCA, CCS, or any recognized medical coding certification (preferred).
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
Good communication and ability to work with healthcare professionals.
