Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines and legal regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Work with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and obtain additional information when needed.
Assist in resolving coding-related billing issues or claim denials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, payer policies, and CMS regulations.
Perform audits of clinical documentation and coded data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with billing and compliance teams to optimize reimbursement.
