Little Champs Therapy & Yoga is seeking an experienced Medical billing specialist. This position will be responsible for eligibility, authorizations, credentialing, claims monitoring and submission, medical records submission, processes and documents transactions on patient and insurance accounts and interacts with insurance companies and agencies in collections, resolution of denials, unpaid balances, refunds, and other billing issues.This is a remote position, and requires a computer with Windows operating system, as well as 2 screens and reliable, high speed internet.QUALIFICATIONS

• Positive, friendly, polite personality.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Billing, collections, and verification's experience required.
• Physician office or Hospital experience preferred.
• Coding and billing experience (CPT Coding) preferred .

• Multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Understanding how to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB).

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be responsible for

• Eligibility, Authorizations, Credentialing, Claims monitoring and submission, medical records submission
• Processes and documents transactions on patient and insurance accounts and interacts with insurance companies and agencies in collections, resolution of denials, unpaid balances, refunds, and other billing issues.
• Work firsthand on reviewing patient accounts ensuring claims are accurate and billable.
• Track and resolve denials and payment issues.
• Identify and resolve claim edits or payer rejections through the understanding of billing guidelines and payer requirements.
• Initiate appropriate contact methods (phone calls, fax, payer portal, mail, email) to respond to inquiries from various external sources.
• Assist clients with billing and insurance questions as necessary.
• Appropriately document all accounts in detail based on incoming correspondence or feedback.
• File appeals and all pertinent supporting documentation.
• Effectively navigate client's billing (EMR) system in order to obtain relevant documentation (notes, medical records, EOBs, etc).
• Payroll - Verifying time sheet and validating key data in the EMR system
