Oversee the end-to-end medical billing cycle, including charge capture, coding, claim submission, and payment reconciliation.
Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards and payer-specific guidelines.
Lead, mentor, and supervise the billing team to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance billing accuracy, reduce turnaround time, and improve collection efficiency.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on policy updates, payer regulations, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure precise documentation and coding.
Stay updated on payer policies, reimbursement guidelines, and changes in healthcare regulations.
Manage and resolve escalated billing issues promptly to ensure high levels of client and patient satisfaction.
Work closely with physicians and legal teams to address and resolve billing-related concerns effectively.
Conduct routine audits (daily, weekly, and monthly) across all billing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
auto insurance, law firm, and personal injury billing
processes.
In-depth understanding of
US healthcare billing
, revenue cycle management, and payer requirements.
Proficiency in
CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS
