We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy

Media Support Specialist

to join our media production team. This role is critical in supporting the day-to-day operations of the production workflow, including media asset management, equipment support, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital media systems, post-production processes, and the ability to ensure smooth technical operations throughout the production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Media Management:

Ingest, log, organize, and archive video, audio, and graphic assets. Maintain digital asset management (DAM) systems to ensure files are correctly tagged, stored, and easily retrievable. Monitor storage usage and manage media backup procedures.

Technical Support:

Provide first-level technical support for production and post-production teams. Troubleshoot issues with editing software, media servers, file formats, and codecs. Maintain and update software and hardware as needed (e.g., NLEs, media encoders, storage solutions).

Production Support:

Assist with setting up and maintaining production and post-production equipment. Ensure all equipment (cameras, lights, microphones, etc.) is in working order and ready for shoots. Support editors and producers with media delivery and formatting requirements.

Workflow Optimization:

Help develop and document standard operating procedures for file handling and media workflows. Coordinate file transfers between teams and external vendors or clients.

Quality Control:

Review and verify media files for technical quality (e.g., resolution, audio levels, sync issues). Ensure that deliverables meet required specifications and platform standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a media support, post-production assistant, or technical operations role. Solid understanding of video production workflows and media formats. Proficiency with editing and asset management software such as

Adobe Creative Cloud

Avid Media Composer

, or similar. Familiarity with media storage systems, servers, and backup strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree or certification in Film/Media Production, IT, or related technical field. Experience working in a studio or broadcast environment. Knowledge of scripting or automation tools for workflow efficiencies.
