The Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, conducting research, guiding student projects, and contributing to academic and administrative activities of the department and institution.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching
Teach UG course in Mechanical Engineering such as:
Thermodynamics
Fluid Mechanics
Heat Transfer
Machine Design
Manufacturing Processes
CAD/CAM, Robotics, or related areas
Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and laboratory manuals.
Conduct laboratory sessions and supervise experiments.
Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and projects.
Guide student projects, internships, and industrial training.
Academic & Administrative Duties
Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
Serve on departmental and institutional committees.
Assist in accreditation activities (NBA/NAAC or equivalent).
Maintain academic and laboratory records.
QualificationsRequired
B.tech in Mechanical Engineering (or pursuing, as per institutional norms).
Strong academic background and subject knowledge.
Passion for teaching and research.
