Mechanical Engineer - TIDEL Park Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mechanical systems in TIDEL Park, ensuring uninterrupted building services and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to achieve optimal equipment performance and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operation and maintenance of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, pumps, etc.). Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment as per schedule. Monitor and record daily readings for chillers, pumps, and other utility systems. Coordinate with BMS operators for system alarms and ensure timely rectification. Plan and oversee AMC activities for major mechanical systems and ensure vendor compliance. Attend breakdown complaints and ensure quick resolution with minimal downtime. Prepare maintenance reports, equipment history cards, and energy consumption logs. Assist in preparing spare part requirements and maintenance budgets. Ensure all works are carried out safely following site safety protocols and ISO standards. Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and housekeeping teams for smooth facility operations. Support audits, inspections, and client reporting as required.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems operation. Hands-on experience in chiller plants (centrifugal, screw type preferred). Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiar with safety procedures and statutory compliance. Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance documentation. Ability to handle vendors and service contractors effectively.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

3-7 years in Facility Management / Building Maintenance (preferably in IT Parks, Malls, or Commercial Buildings)

Preferred:

Experience with Trane / Carrier / Daikin chiller systems and BMS operations

Working Conditions:

Site-based role at TIDEL Park. Rotational shifts may be required depending on site operations. Coordination with client representatives and subcontractors.
