Our Mission Critical division is a dynamic and growing unit that specialises in the field of design, due diligence reviews and enhanced testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems and Mission Critical Applications such as data centres and banking. We have offices in across the region including Hong Kong, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila and Kuala Lumpur. Recently we joined NV5 group. Electrical & Mechanical Design and Testing & Commissioning Engineer Hyderabad / Pune / Mumbai Roles and Responsibilities The engineer would have a high degree of autonomy and would therefore need to be highly motivated to achieve the level of quality and work expected of him/her. Work in the role of Design, Testing & Commissioning Engineer on one or more projects, acting as main point of contact for internal and external communications. May be involved in other scopes such as technical due diligence, MEP peer review, or MEP design. The engineer would oversee a team of 5 or more engineers both on a project basis and in the role of a Project manager. Undertake business development by maintain Client relationships, develop new leads, completing fee proposals and attending tender interviews. Develop & validate electrical/mechanical design calculations, specifications, Drawings, documents etc. Develop Technical appraisals for Long Lead packages and General packages. Support Client during construction stage for Material & Shop drawing approvals. Carry out regular site visits to validate construction quality, coordination, attend meetings, witness Commissioning etc. Develop & validate issue resolution logs, As build drawings, O&M manuals, trainings etc. Manage Tender process & documentation (Fee Proposal, Presentation etc.) for new project opportunity. Maintain good technical knowledge of the industry and relevant M&E design, Testing & Commissioning, and industry standards. Preferred Candidate Profile Datacenter design certification CDCP / CDCE would be an advantage. Datacenter design uptime certification Accredited Tier Designer would be an advantage. Candidates with exposure on both design as well as testing & commissioning is more distinct advantage. ASHRAE certified Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP). In addition to commissioning experience, should have experience in other scopes such as technical due diligence, MEP peer review and MEP design. Qualification And Experience Degree level education in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Minimum of 03 to 10+ years professional experience in design consultancy and contracting. Good knowledge & Experience in Electrical / Mechanical Design and Testing & Commissioning. Experience in developing Electrical / Mechanical calculations, specifications, BOQs, schemes, drawings, Basis of design, sequence of operations etc. Good Knowledge on relevant electrical codes (e.g. IS, IEEE, IEC etc). Good Knowledge on relevant Data Centre codes (e.g. TIA, Uptime, ASHRAE TC 9.9 etc) would be a distinct advantage. Computer literate and have experience of using industry relevant design software such as CAD, BIM, AMTECH, ETAP, DIALux etc. Hands on experience in a Client-facing role.
