Mechanical Technician - GE Gas Turbines (Shutdowns & Major Inspections)

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician with expertise in GE/Baker Hughes Frame 6, 7 & 9 gas turbines. The role involves performing Major Inspections (MI), Hot Gas Path (HGP), and Combustion Inspections (CI) during turbine shutdowns, ensuring safe disassembly, overhaul, and reassembly per OEM standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble GE gas turbines and auxiliaries. Perform MI, HGP, and CI per OEM procedures. Inspect rotors, bearings, casings, combustion liners, blades, and seals. Handle alignment, torque tightening, and hydraulic tensioning. Support borescope inspections and QA/QC documentation. Follow LOTO, PTW, and safety procedures. Supervise helpers and ensure safe rigging practices.

Skills & Competence:

Hands-on experience with GE/BH Frame 6/7/9 turbines. Knowledge of mechanical measuring tools, bearings, seals, and vibration principles. Familiarity with P&IDs, rigging, and lifting practices. Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Mandatory Certifications:

PTW & LOTO, H?S Awareness, Confined Space, Working at Height Fire Watch, First Aid/CPR, Flange Management, Torque & Tensioning, Borescope Inspection GE/BH OEM Mechanical Training (Frame 6/7/9)

Pay: ?100,000.00 - ?120,000.00 per month
