Job Description

A Feed Mill Mechanical Supervisor manages the daily mechanical upkeep and operations of an animal feed production plant, overseeing maintenance (preventive & breakdown) of equipment like mixers, grinders, pellet mills, conveyors, motors, and VFDs, ensuring production efficiency, quality, safety, and team leadership for technicians and operators, bridging operations and management for continuous improvement. Core Responsibilities

Production Oversight:

Coordinate daily schedules, ensure quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes.

Mechanical Maintenance:

Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance for all machinery (mills, mixers, conveyors, pumps, motors, PLCs/VFDs).

Team Leadership:

Manage, train, schedule, and motivate production staff and technicians.

Quality & Safety:

Implement QC measures, maintain safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Inventory & Documentation:

Monitor materials, manage records (batching, formulations), and report on performance.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production.

Experience:

Proven experience in feed mill operations, industrial maintenance, or similar manufacturing.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of motors, PLCs, VFDs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machinery like pellet mills, grinders, mixers, conveyors.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team management.
