Receive, inspect, and record incoming mechanical materials, consumables, and spare parts.
Ensure proper labeling, binning, and storage of materials according to type and usage.
Maintain accurate stock records manually and/or in software systems.
Conduct regular stock verifications and assist in monthly/annual stock audits.
Issuing & Returning Materials
Issue materials to departments or technicians as per approved material requisitions.
Record material issuance and return properly to maintain real-time stock accuracy.
Ensure returned items are checked, cleaned, and stored appropriately.
Documentation & Record-Keeping
Maintain material receipts, issue vouchers, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and other store-related documents.
Update stock registers, ledgers, and computer entries on a daily basis.
Coordinate with the accounts and purchase departments for GRN and bill submission.
Coordination & Support
Coordinate with procurement and maintenance teams for timely availability of spare parts.
Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete materials.
Support preventive maintenance activities by ensuring required spares are ready in advance.
Safety & Housekeeping
Maintain cleanliness and order in the store area.
Follow safety guidelines in handling mechanical tools and equipment.
Ensure proper tagging and safe storage of heavy or hazardous items.
