Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines, HVAC systems, industrial machinery).
Conduct diagnostics and root cause analysis for mechanical issues.
Provide on-site technical support and training to customers or plant personnel.
Maintain detailed service reports, work logs, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards during all service activities.
Coordinate with the engineering and production teams for technical issues and improvements.
Manage spare parts inventory related to field service.
Support continuous improvement efforts and provide customer feedback to the design or R&D teams.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and travel to various client locations when required.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2 - 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical service, maintenance, or field engineering roles.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience with mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance techniques.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Willingness to travel and work in field-based environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS software.
Basic knowledge of electrical and automation systems is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Field work with regular travel to customer sites or industrial plants.
May involve working in high-noise, high-temperature, or confined environments.
Occasional weekend or overtime work based on service demands.
Should be comfortable staging at client sites for 1-2 months at a stretch.
Must Maintain the goodwill and reputation of the company wherever travels.
