This group provides engineering services for facilities that include but not limited to data centers, manufacturing, commercial, food & consumer product, and aviation.


We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Designer(PHE) to join our growing Global Facilities team in the Mumbai office to support Mechanical design activities on Aerospace & Industrialprojects in the North America region.

Key Responsibilities

:


Producing BIM Models for Mechanical and Plumbing services using REVIT MEP by agreeing drawing strategy, type, size of drawings and drawing numbering with project engineer/consultant/client and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working Design and develop plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, venting, and sanitary systems for industrial/process plants Modeling of appropriate plumbing systems for the project including Domestic water, Cold water, Grey water, Sanitary Waste & Vent, Storm water drainage, Fuel gas, Process waste & Biowaste etc Use templates for CAD/BIM work and use CAD/BIM library items to assist design work and produce construction deliverables in 2D format like -
Conceptual and detailed layout for Plumbing services


Piping layout, piping general arrangements, pipe routing studies


General Arrangement drawings of Equipment room


Plumbing flow diagrams & riser diagrams


Development of plans and section drawings


Equipment Schedules, MTO, Installation details drawings.


Responsible for coordinating assigned scope of work with other disciplines to generate a clash free design Good understanding of Piping Materials and Insulation materials Willing to advance in career by taking increased engineering design responsibilities by closely working with discipline lead engineer A committed team player able to work on own initiative Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work Compliance and Codes: Ensuring that plumbing designs comply with US local, state and national building codes, regulations, and standards(ASPE, UPC, IPC etc) Collaboration: Working closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate plumbing systems effectively into the overall building design

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI/ NCTVT - Mechanical Draftsman. Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in industrial/commercial MEP design, development of general arrangement drawings, ducting layouts, piping layouts, plumbing drawings, Riser drawings, etc. using 3D or 2D design tools. Working knowledge of International codes and standards (ASME, International Mechanical code, International Plumbing Code, International Fire Code, International Building code, NFPA etc.) used in Manufacturing, Industrial and Commercial projects.
