for a project in Kathua (J&K). The role focuses on inspection, monitoring, and documentation of fabrication, erection, and installation activities as per project specifications and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and verify raw materials as per PO, approved drawings, MTCs, and project specifications.
Perform dimensional checks for fabricated and erected mechanical items, including structural steel.
Ensure alignment of rotating equipment (pump-motor, gearboxes, etc.).
Verify steel structural alignment as per approved drawings and relevant IS / ASME / EN codes.
Coordinate & conduct PMI testing for machinery, piping, and structural materials.
Monitor fabrication, welding, erection, and installation for QA/QC compliance.
Verify running and final bills as per PO/BOQ/approved rates and site measurements.
Prepare measurement sheets, quantity reconciliation, billing & inspection reports.
Maintain QA/QC documentation including dossiers, inspection records, and alignment sheets.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and client quality teams.
Qualifications
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering
Strong understanding of
IS / ASME / API / ASTM / EN
standards
Experience in site-based QA/QC for EPC / industrial projects
Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and inspection records
