Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Position Overview

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting compliance with regulatory standards to maintain production efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

: Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

: Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.

Compliance & Documentation

: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, and other regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.

Installation & Commissioning

: Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.

Spare Parts Management

: Monitor inventory of spare parts, recommend procurement, and ensure availability of critical components to support maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
