Maintenance strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy, including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs, to maximize asset lifecycle and minimize operational costs.
Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Deputy Managers, engineers, and technicians. Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead and facilitate complex Root Cause Analysis for major mechanical failures. Implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Budget management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget for the mechanical department, overseeing spending on spare parts, services, and capital projects.
Vendor and contractor management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and equipment procurement.
Process improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the mechanical department, leveraging data to drive decision-making and enhance maintenance workflows.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a mechanical maintenance team. Prior experience in the metals, mining, or recycling industry is a strong advantage.
Skills: Expertise in CMMS, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and a deep understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Strong project and budget management skills.
Certifications: CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) certification is highly desirable.
