Job Description

A Feed Mill Mechanical Incharge (or Maintenance Incharge) is a crucial role responsible for the mechanical upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of heavy machinery in an animal feed production plant, ensuring operational efficiency, safety (EHS), and minimal downtime through expert technical skills in areas like hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment calibration, often requiring a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience in large-scale manufacturing. Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair:

Overseeing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing equipment like pellet mills, mixers, conveyors, and grinders.

Preventive Maintenance:

Implementing schedules for greasing, checking components (dies, rolls), and ensuring smooth operation to prevent breakdowns..

Production Support:

Collaborating with production teams to ensure machinery meets quality and output targets.

Safety Compliance:

Upholding Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards within the plant.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Several years in heavy industry or feed mill maintenance.

Technical Skills:

CNC operation (for specific roles), PLC knowledge, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and equipment repair.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
