Summary:
As a "GET" (Graduate Engineer Trainee) in Procurement you will be responsible to support Strategy, Spend analysis, RFQ (Request for Quotation), e-Sourcing, Negotiations & Contract closure of multiple purchase categories & ensure best total cost to the business.
This role requires a good internal coordination, quick learning and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, Suppliers, Contractors, Logistics service providers, Freight forwarders etc.... to drive the day-to-day business.
Internal customer satisfaction & driving cost savings, payment term improvements and delivery & quality improvements are critical to the business.
This role is an Individual Contributor role and reporting to the Commodity Sourcing Manager
Location: Thane, Maharashtra.
Responsibilities:

• Spend data analysis & support in developing a sourcing RFQ's /RFI & coordinate with suppliers for price negotiations.
• Supplier Identification, learn & conduct e-auctions, Contract reading, Finalization etc...
• Learn & Understand Indirect Categories like MRO, Facilities, Repair services, Spare parts, Real Estate, Professional services, Marketing, Event deals, Office supplies, Engineering services, waste/e-waste management, Insurance negotiations /renewals, Travel,Hotels,Logistics,Freight,Local Transportation services etc...
• CAPEX discussions & understanding with the Internal customers & ensure on time closure, cost avoidance, payment terms optimization, SLA's etc...
• Key CAPEX Procurement categories would be Real estate, Civil, MEP, Electrical, Machinery, Imports, Interior/Fit outs, Tools, Labs, Special Machines, Custom build projects/machines etc...
• Coordinate with internal teams, including production, engineering, admin, marketing, HR etc... to oversee that the project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with legal to read, edit & finalize supplier contracts.
• Liaise with senior leadership to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Learn & get experienced in ORACLE Platform for procurement processes.
• Review, Update & Seek approval for BPA's (Blanket Purchase Agreements) inside ORACLE.
• Be an active team member for improvement initiatives within (P2P) procurement processes & implement (VOS - Vertiv Operating System)
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technologies relevant to Indirect, CAPEX & Logistics Procurement from a manufacturing perspective.
• Time is key, speed is competitive advantage, so getting experienced under a TAT/SLA based environment is must.
• Act as a Procurement SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for few areas in CAPEX/Indirect

Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
