Job Description

The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery as per drawings and specifications. The role requires accuracy, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Assemble, install, align, and dismantle mechanical components and machinery. Carry out fitting work such as drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, and filing. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy. Identify faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements. Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and maintained in good condition. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Coordinate with supervisors and other departments for smooth workflow. Report any equipment defects or safety concerns immediately.
