Experienced and skilled mechanical fitter responsible for precision assembly of industrial machinery and equipment. Adept in reading technical drawings, performing mechanical fitting tasks, and ensuring high-quality assembly as per design and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete machines as per engineering drawings and work instructions.
Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, grinding, and alignment tasks using hand tools and machines.
Ensure correct positioning, tolerances, and functioning of assembled parts.
Conduct pre-assembly and post-assembly inspection and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with design and quality teams for rectification or improvements.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization at the workstation.
Adhere to SOPs, safety regulations, and ISO standards.
Support in machine testing, installation, and trial runs at site if required.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical tools and instruments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with fitting, welding (if required), and alignment.
Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems (preferred).
Basic understanding of electrical/mechatronics integration (optional but beneficial).
Team player with attention to detail and time management.
Education:
ITI / NCVT / NCTVT / Diploma in Fitter Trade or Mechanical Engineering.
