Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

Mechanical Fitter

with

8-11 years of hands-on maintenance experience

in the

steel industry

, preferably in

pipe manufacturing

. The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills in fitting, aligning, and repairing heavy mechanical equipment, along with working knowledge of

hydraulic and pneumatic systems

.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out mechanical maintenance, fitting, and assembly work on equipment such as rolling mills, pipe mills, slitting lines, and straighteners. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in

hydraulic and pneumatic systems

, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and compressors. Perform regular preventive maintenance and assist in breakdown repairs to ensure minimal equipment downtime. Replace worn or damaged parts and ensure accurate alignment and assembly of machinery. Support during plant shutdowns, overhauls, and major mechanical jobs. Report issues and work progress to the Mechanical Foreman or Engineer.

Qualifications and Skills:

ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Fitting / Mechanical Engineering. 8-11 years of relevant experience in

mechanical maintenance

in the

steel industry

--preferably in

pipe or tube manufacturing

. Proven experience working on

hydraulic and pneumatic systems

. Strong knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gearboxes, and couplings. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
