Job Description

Location: Oman-Shutdown

Designation: Mechanical Fitter

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Assembly:

Fit and assemble mechanical parts, components, and machinery (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, pipelines, pressure vessels).

Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.

Perform layout work, marking, and precise measurements.

Maintenance & Repairs:

Identify faults and carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on rotating and static equipment.

Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machinery and mechanical systems.

Replace defective parts, bearings, and gaskets as required.

Piping & Valve Work:

Cut, bend, and fit pipes, flanges, and valves according to project plans.

Pressure-test pipelines and joints for leaks.

Safety & Compliance:

Work according to company and regulatory health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards.

Complete relevant documentation (job cards, permits, inspection reports).

Use PPE and safety tools at all times; participate in safety briefings.

Coordination & Communication:

Coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site.

Report work progress and issues clearly and promptly.

Tool & Equipment Handling:

Use hand and power tools, welding machines, grinders, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain and check tools and lifting tackles in good condition.

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
