Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of technical drawings, mechanical systems, and safety protocols, and will be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Assemble and fit mechanical components according to specifications. Install machinery and equipment in workshops or client sites. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems. Operate hand and power tools, lathes, grinders, and other workshop equipment. Inspect and test assembled components to ensure proper function. Follow health and safety standards at all times. Report faulty equipment and assist in root cause analysis. Collaborate with engineers, welders, and electricians during installations or repairs. Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant trade certification. Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar mechanical role. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Good physical condition and manual dexterity. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in an industrial environment.

Working Conditions:

May involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy equipment, or working in confined spaces. Work environment may include workshops, factories, construction sites, or maintenance facilities.
