We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientedMechanical Engineering Technician with a Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline). The role involves providing technical support in the assembly, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, equipment, and components. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines and tools.
Operate 3D printers,drill, grinder and other machine tools when required.
Support engineers in prototype development, fabrication, and testing of mechanical components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manuals.
Record maintenance and service activities in logs and reports.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering (fitter, or related trades).
Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or service environment (freshers may also be considered).
Proficiency in mechanical tools, instruments, and measurement devices (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances.
Knowledge of CNC/ conventional machining operations is an added advantage.
Familiarity with maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and root cause analysis.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
