Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical evaluations related to property damage, machinery breakdowns, and mechanical system failures.
Assist in claims investigations, providing expert assessments on the cause and extent of mechanical failures.
Collaborate with underwriting teams to evaluate risk and advise on technical exposures.
Prepare detailed reports, including diagrams and failure analyses, for internal and external stakeholders.
Support field inspections and site visits when required.
Stay up to date with industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies relevant to insurance risk.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience (insurance, forensic engineering, or industrial/mechanical systems preferred).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineers clearly and concisely.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
Willingness to travel for site inspections when needed.
