Mechanical Engineers design, develop, build, and test mechanical and thermal devices. Skills relevant to this position and found on sample resumes include planning, scheduling, conducting and rotating equipment assignments requiring judgment, independent evaluation, selection and significant adaptation and deviation from standard techniques and procedures; preparing pumps requisition for inquiry and purchase of equipment and services; and providing the technical expertise to assist in achieving accuracy in project piping and instrumentation drawings. Applicants should be able to show a bachelor's degree in a related field on their resumes, though a graduate degree is typically needed for promotion into managerial positions.
