CNC and VMC programming, G-code optimization, and precision machining
. The candidate will play a key role in developing mechanical components for advanced cryogenic and optical systems, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and program
VMC and CNC milling machines
for precision component fabrication.
Develop, modify, and optimize
G-code
and
CAM workflows
for complex geometries.
Read and interpret
engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models
(SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor).
Coordinate with design and assembly teams to ensure mechanical integrity and manufacturability.
Perform
tolerance verification
and surface finish inspection using standard metrology tools.
Manage cutting tools, fixtures, and process parameters for efficient machining.
Qualifications
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2-5 years of experience in
CNC/VMC operation and programming
.
Strong understanding of
machine kinematics, feed/speed optimization, and toolpath strategies
.
Familiarity with
CAM software (Fusion 360 / MasterCAM / SolidCAM)
preferred.
Ability to work independently in a precision engineering environment.
Desirable Skills
Experience in
stainless steel (SS304/SS316)
and non-magnetic material machining.
Exposure to
vacuum components or cryogenic assemblies
is an added advantage.
Understanding of
mechanical design for UHV or optical setups
will be beneficial.
